That is the sign of a champion, he does not give up and has the class to come good in the end. If Andy can shake off his sickness, there is no way he will play like that against Rafa. Some decent ranking points for him although 1000 would help with the stress of having to defend 1500 in the forthcoming clay court season.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Hey I never said where I'd do it.
I'm thinking Bristol Zoo...
Although I might traumatise the animals.

I am so proud of you Andy, this was a really tough match and you hung in there and kept fighting, as did Tipsy, but you came out the winner. These tough matches are the matches that make you tough, give you the confidence to know that you can get through.
I'll now go home and take the much needed blood pressure pills I could have used during the match....haha

Everybody's nerves jangling, heartbeats still on frenzy, too much alcohol consumed but at the end of the day:
"There's only one Andy Murray"
To come through when you're feeling ill, Andy you did us proud
And
especially is...

Might not be Rafa. Has a knee problem apparently. I'd prefer to see him play Tsonga anyway.

It's that ability to survive that's the hallmark of a champion. Love you, Andy.

Andy gets broken. Andy breaks back. Andy goes break up. Andy gets broken back. Andy gets broken again, loses set. Andy gets broken at start of second set. Andy breaks back. Andy goes break up. Andy wins second. Andy breaks in third set. ANDY DOESN'T GET BROKEN. Andy wins.
Seems good enough to me. ^^
Alternatively..
Andy starts poor. Andy gets better. Andy plays awful, fans on point of giving up. Andy plays a bit better. Andy starts playing well. Andy wins.
The match never seemed unwinnable though did it? i was a bit surprised how quickly some of you gave up on it.
Anyway well done Andy, and good luck with the next one.

He's out of sorts, you can see he's buggered sitting there on the bench.
I go along with that - he just looked completely zapped.

It was just too reminiscent of some other matches to my liking (Ferrer WTF, Berdych Paris, Garcia-Lopez IW, Anderson Montreal, etc) - all the unforced errors, his head seemed to have gone. When he went 0-2 down in the 2nd set, having lost six games in a row, unable to do any right with Tipsarevic unable to do wrong, I (and a few others) just couldn't see how he was going to turn this around and come all the way back to win it. Even after he broke back, he got broken straight again and I had no faith in his serve.
Thankfully he did manage to find his tennis (and his serve) again and Tipsarevic's level dropped.
Fair play for keeping faith throughout, just how I felt at that situation ^^

The key tonight was to stay calm (I mean Andy not denizens of MurraysWorld). Hope he is feeling good for the next match. Tsonga would be nice, because like Simon and Tipsarevic he has the regular beating of them, if he turns up and stays switched on. Having said that I am just glad he got to the semis. Well done old son!
