He'd have to really love Miami to be pleased with this draw though. A lot of possible banana skins in tomic, janowicz, tsonga/cilic and berdych

I'd think so too because Djoko is playing on Friday, at 8 pm EDT according to the blurb on the tournie website. On the subject of time, please bear in mind that Miami will be GMT-4 until our clocks go forward on the day of the final. |

The only good thing about this draw is that Delpo is in the other half. Otherwise, who wouldn't want Tipsy & Ferrer in their half. Still, Tsonga in the Quarters is OK |

I think it will be Tomic to face Andy. On balance I think I prefer that option to a qualifier to be honest. Andy has played Tomic, so he'll have some idea of what to expect. That might well not be the case with a qualifier.
I'm assuming Andy will be playing on Saturday, in which case I might not be home to see it. Trust me to have booked theatre tickets for the first Saturday of Miami! I've got visitors coming the weekend after too, although if Andy makes the semi's and final the visitors will just have to not mind me watching.
