I think we can agree that this is somewhat of a special generation. Dimitrov the best of the younger crop, after Raonic (although the latter is a bit one-dimensional). Both should be at the forefront of the game once the current top players start to age. Doesn't seem to be anyone coming through that shows anywhere near the same talent the current top guys did. Although Kyrgios, Quinzi, Garin and Zverev are looking quite promising, but way too early in their careers to judge just how.
Yeah but Andy was at the stage he is at when Fed was at his peak and began getting wins against Fed aged 19 ...Tomic, Dimitrov etc etc have all produced some great tennis at times but either their games have been questionable or their menatlities have. They havent gained any 'huge' wins. Tomic won a Major practise tourno in his backyard...and yet got hailed as a serious challenger. Do they have the same drive to improve?...Im doubting it at the mo. But the current top guys yep are a special generation for sure
