Christ almighty, 8-1, lop sided head to head!
Suppose it stems from the idea that Simon is a poor man's Murray, no disrespect of course. Simon is a wily competitor, this could easily go to three sets.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Only two of these non-GS matches have gone to 3 sets - Madrid and Bangkok last year.

It's been reported, although I can't find any confirmation of this, that Simon has a back injury ...

... And I understand he only beat today's opponent because he went into complete Melzdown.

Also worth noting that Andy's only loss to Simon was back in 2007 when he has just turned 20, on the clay.
As mentioned all but two of his wins have been in straight sets.
No such thing as an easy match but you'd think as long as Andy plays well it should be fairly comfortable... Probably cursed it now right.

So I came back from my busy day.. got comfy on the sofa.. pressed 'play'.. but soon found out no Andy/Meelosh match today..nnnoooooooo!!!
Feeling a bit cheated bcos was simultaneously both looking foward and dreading this match at the same time.
My heart goes out to Milos... there he is, fighting hard to come back .. and he has the opportunity of an amazing match with Andy and he has to withdraw. I'm sure he is feeling gutted he didn't get this chance, win or lose.
Oh well... next time..
Funny how I'm looking at this from Milos' point of view because I'm sure Andy would have relished this match-up also.
Sometimes its good to look at the
Number 4 In The World, Andy Murray
from another player's fan's point of view just to see how intimidating and insurmountable he seems!!
I watched Berdych/Dimitrov match ..... interesting to see BirdMan has found his own nemesis.
Also watched Simon/Meltzer match.
I really like Gilles. Always tidy-loooking like he's out for a Sunday tennis game in the park with his dress shorts on.
Turns up with intent his beautiful French eyes...but unfortunately for him Andy turns up with intent and better moves in his game.
Having said all this, I will not take this match for granted. Simon has a good game, and my current mind-frame is one match at a time.
