Personally I can see Djoko stunning Rafa at his favourite tournament in RG this year to take that crown, but I think he'll be mentally exhausted after completing a career slam and beating Rafa there that he'll get knocked out very early on at Wimby to a Tomic or a Harrison or a Raonic (if the draw is good).

My bold prediction of the day.

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

I used to think that too but some of his behaviour over the past few months has led me to think otherwise.  What about the tax fiddle his little company in Spain was involved in?  The withdrawal from Queens because money is obviously more important to him than prestige?  His allegations about his Uncle Toni in his autobiography which, very curiously, Nadal claimed he hadn't read before it was pubished?

Meanwhile, the latest pronouncement from Andy on the BBC sport website -

"It will be incredibly challenging," said the 24-year-old Scot.

"But on this surface, I feel I can use my game to make him doubt himself a little bit," he added.

"He is one of the toughest guys to have played the game [but] I think hard courts are the best surfaces to play him on."

Didn't know about the tax sting. I was stunned about the Uncle Toni thing in his book - he was very scathing. There's still more bad than good there. You still get a good vibe off him, unlike some players.

Definite Bad Guy Auras

Berdych
Fish
RF
Almagro
Stepanek
Wawrinka
Soderling
Tomic

Ive hoped for the same myself.
Nadal will make his last stand at RG and even if he wins both Novak and Nadal will be there for the taking.
Nadal has completed the channel slam before, but he always had the benefit of no resistance leading up to the final.
Its up to Andy to have the balls to go for it, although it might be Federer or some other numpty that takes advantage.
And we have seen how well Fed can take advantage of good luck.
If Nadal loses I think he might be near to retirement.

It's 12:15 in the morning here in the Philippines and as much as I want to put myself to sleep because of a long day ahead of me tomorrow, I just can't. So excited about the match but thinking about it makes me kinda queasy on the stomach. Hope Andy makes it to the finals.

Forecast: Andy in 3 sets Smile

I feel that Andy will win this match. Nadal is only operating at 80% fitness due to his injured knee this will almost certainly be a factor. Another factor will be that if Andy comes out extremely aggressively and keeps his unforced error count down then i am convinced that he will win. Remember Andy has won the last five out of eight meetings with Nadal on hard courts. Come on Andy !

By bad guy auras do you mean their coaches, their parents, their relationships with one of those two or the players themselves??

I didn't know about either tax sting or things said about Uncle Tony, not having read the book.  Can anyone elucidate?
Re Nole: yes I wonder whether he has the commitment to try flat out for anything about GSs this year.   He'll remember how wrecked he was by end of last year apart from the psychological effort.  But I'm sure that won't stop him coming out all guns blazing at RG.

Really? Based on what?

Tomic has always struck me has a genuine nice, really down-to-earth lad. Fish has always struck me as a quite a nice, relaxed guy as well. Can't comment much on Stepanek, Wawrinka or Almagro but never particularly seen them as "bad".

Can agree on the remaining three. Berdych's reaction after beating Almagro a few months of was despicable; digusting human being.

I've linked an article on here listing all Tomic's misdemeanours. It's a long list. Trying to find it. Not least is the fact that he's (allegedly) 2 years older than he says he is. That was supposedly his dad's idea, but Bernie was happy to go along with it.

I have a very strong feeling that it will be Andy who wins the French Open. There is less pressure there, and I think Ivan is working towards this. I think that this was the first GS that Ivan won, not 100% sure about this. This would open the floodgates for Andy.

I know he came bloody close to beating Novak and Rafa in the clay Masters last season but I just really can't see him beating either of them over five sets on the clay.

Still, you never know!
