I thought, in one interview he gave, that he was modelling himself on Fed, as they'd talked about how bad Rog's temper was at Andy's age. Fed told him he needed to calm himself down before achieving his own potential.

Andy will probaby be in the MacEnroe mould ( :p LOL I do hope so, wouldn't that give the old men at the LTA heart attacks? Very Happy ) but at the moment he's probably trying to see what works.

But dont blame Petch. I doubt he'd be at the ranking he is without him. Plus he's an incredibly nice guy. I've met him a couple of times, albeit 15 odd years ago.

yeah and he and andy do seem to get on well so it wont be petch forcing anything on him.i remeber andy saying that his agression is from wanting to get everything right and so he think it will prob come out of his game more as he gets older and his game improves.i think that at the moment its good for him as it gives him an edge over technically better and more experienced players

i think it's good that he's expermenting on what he finds better, either trying to stay calm or to shout his head off! it's worth a go, he may find it easier to focus if he trys to stay calmer! although have to say always find it funny when he gets angry Whistle
i mean i tried keeping calm in badminton but i ended up more stressed!

I'm guessing that Andy wanted to see if, much like Federer did, being calmer would give his game a big boost but it doesn't seem to of worked. We want the real Andy, ANGRY ANDY.

Have to agree there and also like to see Andy get the crowd behind him
