He's definatly not playing Kiefer because he has took ill, he most probably be taking on Jonas bjorkman which I agree he has got a strong chance of winning the tournament if he beats him, wouldn't that be great two atp tour titles in a row goodjob

these tournaments are not really as important as the masters events coming up in indian wells, miami, monte carlo, rome, and hamburg leading into the French Open so if hes going to be taking any time off it should be in tournaments like these... of course its nice to win these so he has a chance to be seeded for the masters and the french, and eventually wimbledon
i think his win in san jose earned him 35 points or so, while winning a master nets the champion 100, which can really boost a players ranking
