I think he has a great chance of making the quarters - but the pressue may get to him Frown Also, grass won't favour him too much as it's so fast, I mean, if he played Roddick on grass, you'd have to favour Roddick. If Murray gets seeded, he should get a nice run going Smile

Seeding could see him to semis or better. Tis is not because he may come up against some of the "Big Guns" but because he performs better against top players if he has already had a few matches under his belt. Like in San Jose he had three easier matches and then Roddick and Hewitt, if he had Roddick in the first round I am not sure Murray would have won. Same with Bangkok.

Give him time. Anything past the 3rd round this year would be a great improvement

The pressure will be high. I don't expect too much at Wimbledon this year, give him time. Although of course a good run would be nice.

Due to the surface I don't think people should expect too much of Andy too early. It's one thing to do well on hard courts but It takes a while to get used to surfaces that don't suit your style. It took Nadal a little while to get used to hardcourts.

Well said, I think like you said is the U.S open thats the tournament he will put his all into winning it, I think people will most likely want him to win wimbledon because it's the only tournament they show on beebs and not many people have sky  Wink

Hmmmm interesting that Andy says he much prefers the atmosphere at the USOpen. Although, I guess that also relates to the pressure thats going to be put on him at Wimbledon...

i think as long as he plays well and gets through as far as he did last year then it will be a good showing.wimbledon is not the be all and end all and as long as hes making progress and doesnt lose ranking points thats good enough for me
