Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Love the banned logo.

Look out for the "murraypeeni$" idiot.  Another trouble-maker.  I queried whether his username was acceptable under the rules.

Just to add my 2 cents worth, I personally never really think of Murray as "Scottish" but always British. It was the same with Tim Henman, I always supported him as a Brit and can't remember ever once thinking of or referring to him as "English" before Murray came along. For me, they are representaing Britain as a whole. The only time I ever considered Henman being English was once Murray came along and all the Scottish talk started. Personally, I don't care if he's English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish, he's British and as such I will support him to the end.

I know I made a bitter sounding and not very nice comment about his Wimbledon chances that upset a few people in the World Cup thread, but I think it was pretty obvious it was in the heat of the moment stuff that shouldn't be taken too seriously (perhaps much like Murray's own comment regarding England in the last World Cup.....) so I apologise for that one. To be fair, give a guy a bit of leeway to post some sh*t during watching his side getting thumped in the World Cup, particularly at 3.30am on the back of no sleep while waiting for the game! Add a few Scots celebrating it in the thread and then a post saying "at least there's still a Scot in Wimbledon" and then subsequent posts shouldn't be taken too seriously!

Anyway despite what I said about his chances of winning, I desparately hope he does. Since I first started watching sport as a young Kid I have had 4 big sporting dreams I hope to get to experience once in my lifetime. One of them has just been crushed for the 4th time in a row for me and looks further away from happening as ever, Murray has a chance to get me one of the others in the next week or so (for the record, one of the others seems about as likely as the first at present but I've been extremely lucky to get the 4th one twice in the last 5 years).

I was devastated when he lost to Roddick last year as I really believed he was going to do it and I was actually going to be there in London for it.

I don't actually see the connection between football or Rugby Union and tennis or athletics. In footie or rugby, there are English and Scottish National  teams, who have been rivals for years, to expect that supporters could transfer loyalties at will is naïve, would Everton supporters support Liverpool in Europe, I don’t think so. I would not expect the English to automatically support Scotland in the World Cup finals.

In Athletics (Olympics), I support British athletes, as there are no National teams, Scotland is not playing England, they are on the same side. The same is true in tennis, we have a British team. I supported Tim Henman and will support any English player,
I think most English tennis fans understand this and support Andy Murray and as for the few who won’t, who cares!

Read a hilarious article in the sun on Friday - all about how Andy is "Surrey-based" and "effectively English". Very funny.

They had the exact same thing in Daily Mirror, with his family tree, all trying to make him look English. Then yesterday they said on the front page that they take it all back, he's now 100% Scottish lol
