MURRAY IS BRITIANS NUMBER1

Not that I'm at all vindictive you understand  Whistle   but it fair makes you want Mark to reinstate fuzzy, just so we can rub his nose in the fact that at 18 that well known loser and talentless Scot is British Number 1.

I can understand why Andy is more interested in his world ranking that the British No.1 slot. He's needs to focus and look at the bigger picture - sure, British No.1 is a bonus but he's want to improve his overall rank so can get seeded for the major tournaments which will only lead to greater success.

Well, It must be wonderful to get ahead of that sodder Henmen

JUST over a year ago, Andy Murray was ranked No 514 in the world. Tim Henman was at No 6, having just completed his most memorable season, reaching the semi-finals of both the French and US Opens, a grand-slam bonanza. The pair were on nodding terms, Murray the precocious if reserved young buck, Henman the master craftsman.

How things change....can't believe what andys done these last 9 months....

It's good to see Andy as British number1 but i'm so upset that Tim is British number three...But it's OK.Cause Andy is the best in Britain!!!

Unbelievably, it was made easier by Tim and Greg but its still a fabulous acheivement and to do it in 8 months is incredible. Things can get even better hopefully, as he is putting a winning streak together and he looks reasonably fit

Well there's congratulations to be had for Murray but I think he's SOOOOO right not to place much emphasis on being British no 1. It's only world rankings that count really.

Although I think Andy's performances have been amazing, I also really hope that Tim finds some form soon - he really deserves some good luck now after last year's disappointments. If Tim gets back to top form, or if Greg has a good run, I don't honestly think ANdy will mind if he loses his No 1 slot again. The goal for all 3 must be to improve their position in the world (and not the UK) rankings.

According to my calculations, Monday's rankings should be something like this:

41. Murray 816 points
42. Rusedski 805 points
49. Henman 740 points

(If Chistophe Rochus wins Rotterdam Murray and Rusedski drop down a place.)

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.  goodjob
