Interesting quote from the Times,
The average age of those men who have secured their first grand-slam singles title in the 21st century is 22 years and seven months and the British No 1 is 22 years and four months old. No one is seeking to suggest it is too late yet — Juan Carlos Ferrero was 23 when he won the French Open in 2003; Albert Costa 26 the previous year and Goran Ivanisevic almost 30 when he dazzled Wimbledon in 2001.
Been repeated a thousand times before.
Lendl was 24 years and 6 months old when he won the first of 8 Slams and he was tearing up the 3 set scene for years before he finally won a Slam. It's not a typical path, but while he's consistent with know known match up issues there's no reason to be overly worried about stats.
