Andy Murray will start his Wimbledon campaign against Ecuador's Nicolas Lapentti in the first round, assuming he is fit. The Scot has never played Lapentti who is currently ranked 63rd in the world at the age of 31 and reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon in 2002. I know! I looked in 'Murray Talk' and then realised, "where's the match thread? Everyone must have forgotten the routine!" I would have posted it if he was a certainty to play.  Normally I would have said 3 but in 4 I think.  |

why would he want to risk his entire career to play in a tournament with so little match practise behind him. Even if he plays he could well find himself dumped out in the first round. He has nothing to gain by playing and not too much to lose.

We don't know what he's thinking. Even though he might be 90% fit he might still feel it's safe to play. This is Wimbledon, it might be too hard for him to miss it even though logically it would be the right decision.
