Thank you, thank you, thank you for this! I really did want to see it and was peeved it was only on ESPN LOL. I watched it last night, but by the time it was over I was too tired to comment.
On balance I think this was a great match for Andy ahead of the AO. He didn't have the best start, but he found a way to get it done, like the champion that he is. He was phenomenal in the first set tie-break and did so well to get it to the tie-break in the first place.
Andy's concentration was a bit up and down, but I'm sure he will know that and work on it ahead of the AO. When Andy was on though, he played very well.
It actually struck me that this is the sort of match that Andy might have let slip in the past, even last year, with a major looming. Maybe this is all part of trying to be more consistent throughout the year, not just focusing on the majors.
I also enjoyed watching Dimitrov play so well. I'll be honest, if he'd been playing just about anyone else I'd have been rooting for him in the match. However, it was Andy so......

. Seriously though, Dimitrov clearly has such potential. It will be interesting to see how he goes this year and beyond. I don't think it will happen immediately, but I do think he has the potential to be top ten in the future.
