He'll bounce back. Last time he took an extended break he came back and won 3 tournaments in a row. I'm not saying he'll do the same again, but I definitely think he'll return to Madrid in a much better state than he was before.
Yes, I don't this long break is only to rejuvenate and think things over and have a better approach this time. But as you said, it's not going to be a repeat each time. There are now too many players who can get under his skin and really rattle him. They have no reason to back off just because he had a couple of months rest, but it will help him though to stay fit for a longer period of time and maybe that’s the idea. Does he fancy RG? I am sure he does but he probably fancies defending Wimbledon far more. Crazy time ahead.
