Nice one from Haas. I'm not surprised he felt pretty cheated to have lost after that. Total respect to the guy. A lot of other players would just have hopped around court try and keep warm but he looked genuinely concerned. Have to say he now goes way up in my estimation.

You can imagine Nadal hopping around whilst Andy gets treatment?
I think once Andy was getting treated in the middle of the court then most players would come to help but nice one for Haas to come immediately out of concern.

Why would they come out to help if he was getting treated? I think the only reason Haas went over there was because it looked serious and no help had arrived yet.

I didn't mean specifically help but come out and speak to him, see if he is alright.

Tatiana Golovin tore her ankle ligaments last year I think it was. She fell over and was in a heap on the floor. Sharapova stayed on the side of the court and looked totally oblivious to it all.
Haas does deserve all the praise. I had preconceptions of him being unsportsmanlike but he totally proved me wrong.

He has been very unsportsmanlike in the past though, but I appreciate him more.

What sort of unsportsmanlike things has been done? (genuine curiosity)

I've seen him throw his racket more than Safin, also very bad behaviour against the umpire.
But well, that's what I find unsportsmanlike, others may think it's okay.

Throwing a racquet is not so bad, our Murray did it loads just a year ago. Also Murray has had his fair share of insults fly the umpire's way.

That's why Haas says he likes Andy. reminds him of himself the way he shows his passion. Probably another reason why he was so concerned.

Yeah, makes a little more sense why Haas likes Murray now going by his apparent "unsportsmanlike" history

Plus Haas had real damage done to his career by injury, so he knows what it feels like.
