Nope. I've agonised through so many Henman matches it's not true. I shall have mixed emotions. Tim has been a joy to watch at times, and the most frustrating at others.
But I've been on that journey for the last 10+ years. He's a fantastic sportsman and has been wonderful for British Tennis during that time.
But part of me hates watching him struggle with his back as he has this season. It may hold up for one match, but it's usually gone by the next round. Part of me wants him to retire whilst he is still one of the best.
I suppose I feel this will have such an emotional effect on both players. Andy, however, is the future. I just hope it's a stonking match.

will be supporting Andy tooo!!
all the luck to him!! but in a way good luck to Tiger too, i think it will be tough for him, and it will be a bigger deal if he looses than if Andy lost, maybe not for us - but for him....
the clash of the brits!!!

God where was i, just realised Murray v Henman in first round and i think Murray will win in 2 sets not 3, roll on the first round
p.s. Mark, what have you decided on for your sky package?
Just going to buy/cancel the full package whenever there are important tournaments. So for now I won't pay and keep it all year and for the less important matches I have other means of getting Sky a lot cheaper.

Yea i think Andy will win Tim is not as fit as he has been and now with a young familly and no money worries i think his motivation is not as high as Andy"s. Straight sets too.

You're right Tally. On balance of thought, I hope Andy wins for the reason that he is the future of British tennis...... more to agonise over if he loses I think.

Just listening to our local radio news in which Andy is quoted as saying he believes he will lose to Tim tomorrow. Does he really?? I don't think so......
ever the modest Scotsman!
Am still feeling quite ambivalent about the whole thing....

Just been checking my 'sky guide' again for tomorrows coverage at Basel, as follows:-
12.00 - 1.00 Eurpsport
2.00 - 2.30 Eurosport2
4.00 - 5.30 Eurosport
5.00 - 6.30 Eurosport2
7.00 - 8.30 Eurosport2
Still no schedule for Wednesday's order of play.
Hope above is of some help!
I'm sure whatever happens, it'll be a bit of a nail-bitter!

I think Andy will win because Tim doesn't have the best of serves and Andy will punish him with his returns.

hehe...is it me or does everyone think that Tiger's going down.. BIG time!!
been supporting Tim for ages now, but i think it's time.. to slow down, i don't think he has much hope against Andy, possible a straight set match, maybe something like 6 - 3, 6 - 4 for Murray!
Thanks for the TV listings Bevc...finally they are showing some ATP tennis!

I think Andy will win because Tim's body is knackered.

Mark...all that cheering for the past 7-or-so year for Tiger....
and i remember myself having a huge banner for Tim a couple of years ago at Wimbly
...haha and now, seems like Tim's no one and there's no hope! ](*,)
:-$
as much a i love Andy....and i will most definitly be cheering for him when he plays Tim, i really hope no one forgets Tim for these next 5 years....
what a disaster if at Wimbly next year, there are going to be no Tim supporters
i feel sorry for the guy
...but happy that we've finally got some new talent!

Yup but people like you and me will always scream at ignorant people who say "oh tim sucks though" and next Wimbledon I think Henman could potentially have one of his best chances because there won't be much pressure and if he gets that back working and plays like he did when he got the 6-1 set against Stephenek, he COULD get far.
