I think it is more realistic. Not matter how much we want to him to win, it is very unlikely for andy to beat the top seed, a top 10 player and on a surface that has been specifically chosen to help the home players. If that's not enough then Andy will have the crowd against him and I don't think he's used to that.

Tables seemed to have turned draw-wise : Andys had some shockers so far this season! But I agree, its good for him to be playing the top guys - he won't be expected to win, so maybe thatll take the pressure off a bit...

Totally agree...
We're not being pessimistic by the way, just realistic.

i know its realistic hes going to lose but that doesnt mean u all have to say that without looking on the postive side.sorry i cant really cope with that sort of thing, i think ppl need to have a positive attitude and think what is possible rather than what is likely to happen

I can give both opinions. It's possible he wins, but it's a very small chance. In other words, he will probably lose. So what is possible is very close to what will likely happen.
And also, I want Andy to win... And to be very subjective: He will beat him!

Bad news...... the live score on the Zagreb website doesn't work for me, does it work for everyone else?

Oh my, another tough, tough match for Andy. However, it'll be yet another learning curve for him. Personally, I think this year will be more important in terms of the experience Andy builds up from his matches, rather than what the results say. Every experience he has will help his future career.
As always, we wish you well Andy.... your time will come!

Look on the bright side folks!
If he was playing Delray Beach we'd be having to possiblly be up durng the night.
At least this way we can (
well some of us can) watch the score at a decent hour.
Really tough draw though, I dont think he'll beat Ljubicic. But I'm ever hopeful.

Live scores has been working ok for me, what i assume was last qualie has just finished so maybe oop will follow shortly for tomorrow. What are the odds they put top seed, and home favourite, playing first??

I'm just wondering if maybe having to go through qualifying wouldn't have been such a bad thing...... he would have (hopefully!!) got a few wins at least and perhaps get some positivity/confidence out of it.....
But oh well, Ljubicic is gonna be tough..... and let's be realistic, it's highly unlikely that he will win...... but this time he's got nothing to loose, he's shown the press/public that he's not gonna win every single match, he's just getting experience. Maybe he has a slight chance of winning (a ver, very small one), but i'm hoping we'll see the Andy playing like he was when he beat Stepanek/Ginepri etc.. and pushed Nalbandian, Federer..... and not the Andy who got beaten by Chela two weeks ago...... because if he's playing at his best, there is no doubt he can really push Ljubicic
