Me neither - not after three years on here sharing all these ups and downs.  Andy is Andy, and ever more shall be, bless him.

hug Yup,I've got a sneaking suspicion you're right there Ruthie!I'm just hoping that the more heartbreaking twists and turns are behind us now. And,if those agonising moments could be like during the the Ferrer match at Wimbledon,or the Cilic match at the USO,or even the Lopez one,and have an end result like those ones (ie YAY WIN!) well, then somehow I think we'll manage to cope just fine Wink
Perhaps some of you newer members might like to read and contribute to this thread that Ruthie opened called "Watching Andy on TV: How do you cope?" - http://www.murraysworld.com/forum/andy-murray/watching-andy-on-tv-how-do-you-cope/150/   Whatever your coping mechanism is, you are not alone!

My coping mechanism is to put a cushion over my eyes or leave the room. I'm sure my blood pressure goes way up but when he wins I am just filled with joy.

Thanks for reviving the thread Aileen.   Yes  there aren't many coping mechanisms that one or other of us has not resorted to as we live Andy's every point.

I can't watch sitting down, ever.  Another reason why I would struggle at live events. That and the swearing.

It's working OK for me, MH.  I've copied it over again to see if that makes any difference - http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/tennis/news/20121220/tennis-year-in-review/

Andy is number 1 in ESPN's sports personality.

Also, the article references this piece by former Leeds-born-American basketball player Charles Barkley, quite a nice article. Apologies if it was posted at the time.

Thanks for that.  I don't remember seeing it at the time but it's good to read an article from a fellow sportsman who knows what it's like to be on what he calls 'the sh-- list'.  Thank goodness we won't have to suffer hearing about The Big Three and Andy Murray any longer.  That made me feel so angry!
