ON HIS DECEMBER TRAINING BREAK WITH ANDY MURRAY: It was pretty tough, pretty long, intense days. It was good fun. Andy and I did everything together. I was going on his terms of doing everything together and we worked to get stronger and fitter. It was his programme but it was adapted for me too. We’re stronger than before and in the best shape we’ve been in.ON PLAYING WITH ANDY: When Andy plays with me he wants to do well for my reasons. He wants me to pick up points and move up the rankings. He does it more out of friendship for me and his brother because he wants us to do well, be top players and move up the rankings. Jamie and I are very appreciative.
SAFEST bet of 2009 is that Andy Murray will be fit and well for the next tournament with big personal ranking points at stake. But put good money on the fact that he will not be fit for Great Britain's next Davis Cup outing which takes place just after the US Open finishes, against Outer Mongolia or Andorra probably.I don't know why Murray doesn't just admit that he's a selfish, stubborn egotist and that his country means nothing to him, rather than just letting us think that is the case.No doubt he will expect support from the nation at Wimbledon. He shouldn't get it until he shows some support in return.
