So it turns out that Andy stayed in London then flew back to Miami before flying  to Australia (presumably flying over the Pacific Ocean).

He's just taking every precaution. Think it's great that he's making absolutely sure the only thing that could be a problem is him not being good enough. And I assume he either said, or meant to say, that he was in Miami till Christmas day, flew to London, stayed 4 days, then went onto Australia for Hopeman Cup. Hopefully he saw his Granny! Smile
The rest of his family including Jamie, Judy were in Dunblane so he wouldn't have.

Wow. He took a very direct route....

Fair points from Cash, buy I think its easy to be agressive and dominant against a weaker opponent like Andreev, but things might be different when he plays *insert name of top 8 player*

And Mark, did you see the bit underneath with details of his tshirt? Smile

Ally, they linked to your column... what sort of fan are you? lol

The critics have started to pile on Andy Murray. (They even seem to doubt him over at MurraysWorld.com) His game’s too passive to ever win a major. He’s too likely to try a drop shot from three feet behind the baseline. His first serve is too erratic. He thinks too much. He thinks too little. Whatever. The critics are mistaken. The 22-year-old Scotsman has the talent to win a major.

Have now Smile

He also feels the need to practice wearing t-shirts emblazoned by the lyrics of hip hop icon Method Man.

The words on the t-shirt are from Method Man's song Judgement Day

Hahaha what a subjective reading. He is clearly one of the best players in the world, therefore needs a slam to prove it. How can they turn that into an insult?

I don't get where he was coming from with his criticism of your column, I thought it was fairly positive.... Think

I mean, the likes of Djokovic/Del Potro have won slams, but I wouldn't say they are categorically BETTER than Murray, just saying he needs to prove himself a bit more. He has beaten Nadal in a slam before, I am just saying he needs to play better in the second week of slams, he should really beat the likes of Gonzalez, Cilic, Verdasco etc.

The last two, yes. He isn't expected to beat a clay courter like Gonzo at the French, though.

That's what I though. Apparently the Daily Star are making a major deal about it, calling him a cradle snatcher and all. Frankly, they missed a MAJOR trick with that cradle snatcher malark...

They did. They decided there was no way they could compete.
