Would he talk about himself as PF though?

Could be part of the cover up.    It is cleverly done.

Murray turns down Auckland opportunity
I can understand why Andy has turned this down.  Far better to get straight to Melbourne and have time with Lendl and the rest of his team than play in a tournament with no guarantee of getting much beyond R1.  He never plays a tournie in the week before a Slam anyway.

And here's Neil Harman's take on things in The Times. Doesn't come across as being very optimistic.

Mr Harman sounds almost like the media's version of Booger.  Yes he is trying to put a perspective on things from his point of view and to try and fend off unrealistic expectations, which is fair enough, especially as Andy himself is playing expectations down, and which is something that I totally agree with, but he does seem determined to pick out the negative.  So Andy laterally stuffed a roll of towels behind his back during change of ends in Doha?  Rather than Mark Bender (good name for a back specialist that) taking note, it's very likely that he probably advised Andy to do it.  Also assuming the rehab continues to go well, I truly hope that we don't have to wait until Wimbledon before Andy reaches his former match fitness level again, both physically and mentally, and I'm sure he doesn't either.

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

I have wondered that in the past Lb.    He has the inside knowledge.

Can't see it. He doesn't seem to have the humour.

Neil's book "court confidential" goes into a lot of things, including the relationship he has with the WTA ATP players, Andy is usually up for an interview or chat with Neil (from the book) so yes Neil is on Andy's side both ways
I am a Harman fan, he writes based on fact, is objective in the way he writes - but is known to be openly biased towards Andy at times. I enjoy reading his stuff, Court confidential is a good read, and he worked with Andy on 77.

Which is more than can be said of Mr Harman's article.  I prefer to go along with what Andy says, not anyone else.

Also I do not think Harman is PF.  He just doesn't come across as somebody who would be into that sort of thing.

Can't agree that Neil Harman sounds anything like Boogers.    There is a tinge of regret in having to point out the negatives and he refers to the weight of expectation that Andy has always carried.   The tone is of continued support even if his predictions come true and of someone trying to be realistic about the situation but not blaming Andy for what has happened or may be about to happen.    I hope Andy confounds us all and wins the AO but if we have to wait until Wimbledon, or whenever, then so be it.

Do we know him well enough to say if he has the humour.     How many people thought, or even still think, that Andy has no sense of humour.

I was thinking of Andy more than his fans when I made the comment about Wimbledon because I think he would find it very frustrating.  But whatever he does, and whatever happens, he will always have my full support.

Never doubted that for a minute, Aileen.    Me too.

@Iluvandy
I too rate Harman, ace supportive  of Andy, chap.
And yes, he's certainly on my list of PF contenders.

Having got himself to Melbourne I'd be surprised if Andy wanted to fly to Auckland which would add another four hours to what is already at least a fifteen hour flight.  However, an updated report says that the time limit has been pushed back to 10am Saturday, presumably NZ time, which is 8am Melbourne time and 9pm GMT Friday (I think!).

Meanwhile I feel sorry for Kiwi Rubin Statham who's been left playing the waiting game, which he says is messing up his preparations.

I couldn't disagree more.  I think they are polar opposites.

For a start, I think managing people's expectations is a very positive thing to do.  He's pointing out that it's to be expected that Andy won't rush back to full fitness.

It's the very opposite of those who think anything short of an instantaneous return to full fitness and impervious form is something to wail about, and one of the signs of the impending tennis apocalypse.

He's clearly a big fan of Andy's, but if you follow him the rest of the time, he's a big fan of many tennis players and tennis in general, and manages to gush when not talking about Andy.  I don't think he shows Andy any special favouritism, but I do love that he takes the mickey out of that perception and sometimes plays up to it.  In fact, I think he enjoys trolling the people who are upset at the thought of any journalist saying nice things about Andy.

As for the identity of PF - I have a few on my short-list, but I'm against trying to find out who he really is.  It would spoil the fun if he were outed, and if he thought people were onto him, he might give up, or at least cut back.  We can't be having that!
