Kevin Mitchell as usual being very fair and sounding positive about Andy, and I agree with him that the tennis pack could do with a bit of shuffling around.  Nothing too drastic though where Andy's concerned!

yes good to see Kev writing about tennis again.  When he was last sighted [or would that be sited???  Whistle ] he was writing about boxing apparently.  Good that it ended on an upbeat note about how Andy is moving but given it's only February and so soon after the op, I think it's a bit soon to start worrying about titles

Well if Andy's coaching history is being described as "stalinistic" i wonder what name they would come up for Sharapova

Trotskyist maybe? She seems to axe them from her team when everything goes wrong, poor Jimmy Connors only lasted a few weeks. lol

I still don't understand the fuss about Andy's ranking - like it's some sort of major catastrophe. Rolling Eyes

well in a way it's a tribute in that it's seen as a major news story that he's not in top 6.  Couldn't help but laugh when Wimbledon and Halle were listed together as if they had equal status.

I think there's more fussing about the "fuss" than actual fuss! Two articles, a few "so what" type of comments. On the MW rankings thread lots of posters saying they're not worried about the rankings responding to a few who say they are. Still waiting for the BBC to "rub it in" as rob92 predicted.

As the Guardian article says: What does it mean? Not a lot. Yet".

Disappointing to read the Scotsman is repeating the story about the evictions without at least noting Judy's refutation of the accusation that Andy has behaved badly over this.

Their condensed version actually reads worse than the one from The Mail, because despite the headline and posed photos, it did at least acknowledge that the person not renewing the contracts was the original landlord.
