The press need to be banned from asking Jamie about his brother, it's a bit unfair.

Check this little blunder from the Scotsman:

Quote from: 'The Scotsman'
Jamie is paired with Jelena Jankovic in the mixed doubles event, although his and Butorac's second round tie with Jonathan Ulrich and Andy Ram, the seventh seeds, presents a stiff challenge. Both's Jamie's doubles ties are scheduled for today. Murray amd Butorac have already beaten Ulrich and Ram earlier this year in Memphis while their coach, Louis Cayer, also used to work with their opponents.

Ulrich Von Lichtenstein I hear you say?

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Ha ha. I hadn't thought about that at all. Just made sense to me cause I was reading the papers. No don't worry Mike. You haven't been writing newspaper articles containing huge errors while you weren't looking!

Murray follows suit and echoes the rest

British number one Andy Murray has launched a wide-ranging attack on underachieving British tennis players and the authorities that run the sport.

The problem with British tennis is that there's always so much negativity," Murray told the Sun.

Murray's criticism echoes that of Boris Becker, Tim Henman and British tennis chief Roger Draper over the past few days.

Murray mentions that negative culture thing you were on about Lorna.

See, I ain't stupid! I've seen it a million times. The kids at school do it to each other all the time. They always dislike the talented one. Not just in sports but in performance arts, in classes. They love to see them fail. And it doesn't just stop at the kids. The parents do it too. It's pretty sad actually.

I like to see Federer fail because he's the most talented out there... it's just a thing about wanting the underdog to win.

What is it in the British psyche that we want to see some sporting  success for a few...but only a wee bit...for a short time?
We all got hacked off with Steve Davis and Shumacher winning all the time, now it's Roger and Tiger's turn.
The tabloids love nothing more than knocking folk off their pedestals and that's filtered thro to us. We are indeed a funny bunch.
