Maybe, but surely his tennis has to come first, not politics?

He's had a really rough few months, and until today I've never really thought he believed in himself. Tennis is such a mental game that I really wish he'd have kept stum.

What do we want? Andy claiming back his rightful place in the top ten and *oh joy, maybe, just maybe* making Shanghai. or spending his energy on making his case for his remarks to the ATP bigwigs.

He was probably asked a quick question by a reporter, hardly spending too much time on politics.

Yup, I see where y'all are coming from, but would he have to meet with the ATP lot if he hadn't made what they thought was controversiall remarks?

I dont disagree with him...his outspokenness is part of what makes me love him. But, coming off the nightmare months he has, I wish he'd kept his mouth shut.

I want first and fdoremost the arrogant Andy back ( and I dont mean that in a derogatory way). At his most stroppy he is unbeatable. The wrist injury had horrendous effects on his self belief. That's why he needs to show the level of play he did today.

It was awesome and made one Cornish maid so ecstatic. Smile clap yay yay

Forget the peripheries and betting. Leave it to others...purlease.

He said something that endangered their position as a tennis association. Anything slightly negative and he'd be going beyond his authority according to them.

Do you always have to beat me to it?! Wink

There's no doubt he made controversial comments and I'm sure in hindsight he wishes he had said nothing. However, if he believes it goes on and a reporter asked him then he isn't exactly going to lie.

I also would like that fiery Andy back but not I'm too sure the stroppy thing actually helps him Think

I love this quotation from Andy. So lazy sometimes!

I enjoy the way Spain works – going to sleep late, waking up late, eating late, sleeping during the day. I did quite a lot of that when I was training here.

Yeah I had to grin at that. I think the spanish get up quite early, actually, then sleep over lunch when it's hottest... sort of 2 half-days. At least that's the traditional lifestyle, but that might have changed to adapt to UK/US times/customs.
