Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

He is along with Federer the form player of the season so far!
If Andy can put the AO final behind him and play as he did in the rest of the tournament, then hopefully his form can only improve.   I'd like to see him win Marseille.  Only a 250, but he really is going to have to grab as many extra points as he can.

I see... Think I wonder if that has ever happened before...

Mardy Fish in 2008 was 3 ranking spots away at the entry list date from requiring a SE to get into Miami directly.

Nothing !?  Wouldn't that get him reported for indecency Smile.

I seem to remember a few years ago at Wimbledon when an American girl wore some kind of white outfit that caused an outcry from the Wimbledon committee.

I think some of Sharapova and Ivanovic outfits, although different, were quite elegant and attractive.  Now whether they are suitable for tennis is another matter.  The problem is that elegant outfits are not very practical.  They tend not to contain moving body parts very well.

Think

The indecent girl was Bethanie Mattek-Sands wasn't it! Oh she makes me chuckle. There's a pic of her wearing a leapord print outfit and a comment from one of the officials about whether it is against regulations or not. It says Aside from taste the outfit is acceptable... lmao What a way of putting it!

I seem to remember a few years ago at Wimbledon when an American girl wore some kind of white outfit that caused an outcry from the Wimbledon committee.
In 1985 American Anne White wore an all-in-one skin-tight catsuit, claiming that the weather was cold and that the outfit "kept her legs warm", although it clearly raised temperatures elsewhere!  In 2005 Nadal's pirate-style pants caused the Committee some concern, but were allowed, although not his trademark green top.

Thanks Aileen for that fascinating article.

Page 6 of the above link shows Anna White body suit which I think looks very reasonable.  I don't understand why the official objected to it.  It is certainly much less revealing than the (mini) skirts that most tennis players play in nowaday.

I agree.  Compare Anne White's catsuit with Anna Kournikova's less-than-mini-skirt in the previous article.  It's not only split slightly at the sides but her pants can even be seen when she's bending over to receive the ball.  [Don't crash the system, guys!]

Did anyone notice a small paragraph in The Mail on Sunday  ?
It states
'''Andy Murray has missed out on an eye-watering amount of money from Brylcreem.  Word is that he was in line to be offered the chance to follow in David Beckham's footsteps but market research revealed a less than enthusiastic public for Murray so Kevin Pietersen whose achievements have been less stellar than Murray's got the 2million Brylcreem gig instead '''

BRYLCREEM  ?????   Thank goodness he missed out on that.   Those lovely Auburn locks are being controlled enough.   Can anyone imagine our Andy as a Brylcreem Boy   ??????

Crying shame if men keep it all bottled up

ANDY MURRAY, PETER ANDRE and ALASTAIR CAMPBELL may have shed a few tears but they pretty much held it together.

Murray pinched the bridge of his nose to stop breaking down completely, Andre asked for filming to stop on Sky News before he really lost it and Campbell composed himself long before ANDREW MARR's interrogation led to waterworks.

"That Campbell, it was all a set-up", I heard someone say. "Funny how the country's best-known spin doctor does an Andy Murray right after he saw what crying did for his popularity."

lol
