Careful, you're turning in to me lol. I think of it as tennis related Tourette's Syndrome. Not only does it manifest during matches, especially when Andy is playing Federer, or the umpire/line judges/opponent is a complete fool, it also tends to appear when journalists write utter crap.

You do sort of have to laugh at the way the writer calls Andy a choker though. Let me see, 6 major finals in four years, a major win, 12 major semi finals, an Olympic gold in singles and eight Masters titles. That is one hell of a choker we've got there!

Maybe he needs our help (the journalist I mean)  - poor thing, jealousy's a curse. He is clearly sore afflicted.

I think you should put them right - only to be fair.  I love that someone questioned Fed's stats and another took offence.  He has an abysmal record re Rafa but their rose tinted glasses must obsure that. blink

Also, Andy had to go through 1 and 2 to claim the Olympic crown, did he not?

I can't understand why it's been excluded, but at least it lets Andy off the hook.  If the games were being held anywhere in the UK I'm sure he would have been under pressure to play for Scotland, especially as he would be in Britain anyway for Wimbledon.

I find these articles are a waste of time.  These writers do not ever know what they are talking about.  They never look at the other great players or the stats. unless they help their cause.  I am now trying to ignore them.

I see Andy has been voted the most popular player at the AO.  He is also well above the other 2 in the stats. i.e. return of serve.  He has the highest number of aces for the year (104).  There is huge improvement in his attitude.  He did not choke.  If that was the case Novak would have won more easily.
