I'm sure it is - only I can't get any sound ...

What? There is sound there, turn your volume up!

As far as I'm concerned if Andy wants a logo, he can have a logo. Andy has won two majors and an Olympic gold. If he wants to stand on his head and hold the racquet between his feet whilst whistling Flower of Scotland between points, that's fine as well Smile.

It's not Fed's logo that annoys me. That's all about branding, marking players as different from the pack if you like. That doesn't bother me one way or another. What annoys me is that some of Federer's fans think they are a cut above simply because they wear the logo, in other words, they are logo snobs.

Andy won't change no matter what he does, but he's right to use his name to improve his earning power if he has the opportunity to do so. After all, hasn't he worked to be in this position? The danger is that his fans will change in one way or another, because they will get ideas above their station, or they'll look down on Andy for appearing to give in to commercialism.

Personally I think something like an intertwined capital A and M, or maybe incorporating the whole 77 thing on to his kit would look quite good, as long as they use a decent font. Something sharp and strong would look good. Something too floaty, like that RF thing, would look naff.

Semms like a sensible decsion, it doesn't matter with an exhibition whether he wins or looses, good way to test his back.

On page 154 of next week's Radio T. Interview with Nigel Harmon:
Q: What brings a tear to your eye?
A. Andy Murray at the Olympics and Wimbledon....every time he plays at the moment. I think he's brilliant. I know he's Marmite to some but I believe he's an extraordinarily shy man who gets a rough ride: we want our superstars to be social entities as well.
Oh  wub wub wub and more  wub

I don't mind Andy having a logo, just so long as he doesn't start having numbers on his shoes.......unless it's 77!

Well not everyone in Great Britain wants their superstars to be social entities, i for one find people like John Terry and other footballers disgusting. The fact that Andy is the way he is, is exactly the reason why i like him.

Andy Murray will meet with medical experts next week to asses his recovery from the back operation and to decide on O2 participation #tennis

Agreed.  It's in a nice warm environment, not too much pressure and if it's a knock-out tournament, a maximum of two matches. Smile

I can see him being fit enough for that, but I'm not so sure about the WTF just six weeks after his op.

I'll be very surprised if any definite decision is reached next week, unless it's a complete no-no.  Even if he is given a cautious go-ahead then I'm sure a final decision as to his participation would be left until much nearer the time.

I'm sure you are right.  I suppose he is currently scheduled to play, so the decision would be whether or not he should withdraw, but even if they thought it was viable, he's not actually started training as far as I know.

I'm guessing the appointment will determine if he's ready to start training again, and whether or not playing at the WTFs is possible.
