Oh, I guess I missed them. doh

I just clicked on the link to read the comments again but it doesn't seem to load.
Well at least you didn't have to look at the negative ones again!  I can still get it to load, so here's the last comment -

plj, usa
What a patronizing headline! Perhaps the author isn't as aware as he likes to think he is.
Murray, in addition to being a splendid tennis player, has qualities that fans recognize as
rare in anyone, but particularly in top athletes.

Totally agree! yay

That made me laugh. German players are continually compared to Becker and Graf. But I think it is better to try and match up to a living player - after all, if Murray hadn't done it then Edmund and co would be expected to be the first player since Perry to win  a slam/ Wimbledon etc.  Which was surely a far greater weight of pressure due to the length of time which had passed and the meia frenzy it caused...

The article raises some good points, but it over-eggs them.  For a start, if Kyle does go onto become a top 10 player, he'll get a lot more attention than Tipsy and Stan, because of the considerably larger age gap.  Kyle won't be reaching his peak until Andy is thinking about retirement, so the press will be ready to give him attention.

When Murray was a new kid on the block, the press wondered if he would be the one to win a slam, and be the next Perry, so I'm not sure that anything has changed there, except for the name.  The press were always mean to all players, including Andy, for only making it to a semi-final, and loads of people thought Andy was rubbish because he was only #4 in the world.

Younger British players will definitely gain more from the advice and inspiration Andy can give them.  Andy said watching Tim do well helped to motivate him, so it should be the same, especially as Andy is so good at tactics, and apparently very willing to share tips with Dan this summer.

My other point is that they surely mean a double edged sword.  They mixing that image with "two sides of the same coin", which means something different! lol

had same problem dani.  Also it made me vote for a dubs team but there were no dubs teams to vote for just a list of single players so I clicked on Murray again.  So now I don't know whether I've voted or I haven't voted   confused
