If I used it I'd be mortified - it was bad enough doing the speed of serve at the 02. Though now I have a goal for the year - to go back and get a higher score!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-25857296 How cool is this? Be interesting to know just how useful it is for top players.

I'm afraid all my tennis playing was done in the days of the wooden racquet with simple gut strings.  Racquets with metal frames were coming into vogue but, for some reason I can't remember, were generally frowned upon.

Anyway I wish they'd cut down on all this so-called 'smart' technology in sport.  I takes a lot of the fun out of it as far as I'm concerned.

That looks handy for recreational players who are looking to improve their game further than their coach can provide them. I would use that for sure.

Yes, but do you think it would be of any advantage to top professional players?

Of course, if it can help improve a game, why would it not be an advantage to them?

Apparently 47 kph -  roflmao I even got a certificate to prove it.  trophy All I can say is my game has other strengths to make up for it. Mind you the guy who went after me was 64 and they took his details cos it was a leading score , didn't think that was much ahead of me relatively speaking so it didn't make mine look so bad. So huge respect to even the weakest serving pros. racquet

47kph is the WTA record for slowest serve ever, guess who hit it and who returned it?

I was just glad I hit the ball! We also did the smoke doors thing - found that more embarasing cos at least when I was serving I had my back to people. But it wasa funny picture. You should so do the serve thing this year.

Yes well not when its Serena returning it, as it was for poor Sara Errani when she hit a 47kph one.
