singles reaction
« Reply #30 on: September 24, 2005, 08:27 PM »
these were written before the doubles, so in terms of immediate reaction they're not that fantastic, but, you know, its interesting to see how the press reacted to the singles.

"Wawrinka, the world No 60 and therefore some 50 places higher than Murray, had apparently made some critical comments about his opponent to the Swiss press before the match, suggesting that the teenager takes himself too seriously, both on and off the court. But Murray said that there had been no atmosphere between the players out on this indoor clay court in an exhibition hall close to the runways of Geneva Airport." (telegraph)

Could rival McEnroe and Connors. I agree, Judy always talks sense and is realistic about Andy

im playing good tennis and she just makes a fool of herself
...Andy's just like a kid being embarassed of his mommy *sorry for dissing*...but Judy is soooo cute, best mum in tennis - bless her

After the fiasco of Lucy Rusedski and her sister "interviewing" fans a year or so back, Judy Murray would be fabulous as a behind the scenes Reporter, delving into all the gossip.
She's great isn't she?

By the way top_spin, I'm a huge fan of Rafa. Ever since I saw him beat Costa in his first Masters at Monte Carlo.
Always ready to wax lyrical about his talent.

*cheers in delight*....That's sooo great Tally, thank god im not the only one that loves Rafa too much here! I've been a fan for a while now....from about october 2003...o those days
but he is such an amazing player....and just the way he plays....i noticed during his play for Spain in the Davis Cup last weekend - wohaa he showed such talent, power and skill!...he played doubles with Verdasco on saturday for 5 hours...then played 4 and half hours singles on sunday! He just suprises me every day that Spanish boy! And he's admitably quite hot! haha!

8) I've had a heck of a time on my American tennis forum convincing them it was one of their players, NOT Alex Bogdanovich who was in trouble!
They are somewhat partisan. Their players never do anything wrong
Although in this case, as a fellow asthmatic, my thoughts are with Bogomolov
I've never heard of him. But still seems a case that could have had a bit of common sense and compassion applied.

The acocciation's being pretty tough!
