No more first round exits

Reply

After hearing about the match with Andy today I think there will be very little first round exits this year.

I think he's back on form and will bring confidence into his next tournament

Damn right murray_mad!

If Andy continues to perform like he did today, I think we will see him reach some semi-finals this year.

Looks like when I went to the Heineken Open a couple of weeks ago I saw thats becoming rare.
A Murray win.
Still looks like he came close here and taking a set off this guy is no disgrace, the wins will come with time.

I agree,

although I think the main reason he's having first round exits is who he has been drawed with,

the draw for Andy in the future im sure will become more lucky for him.

Although saying this, what other tough first round matches has he had, other than Ljubicic.  I think he's been quite lucky really.

But Andy often seems to play really well against top players. really raised his game today. so im not sure that a tough draw is necessarily a bad thing

In a Grand Slam you can hardly count Chela as a tough draw.  he could have had any top player in the world.  As for Ancic and Berdych, they were 3rd and 6th Seeds in their respective tournaments I think, and you should meet a Seed in the first two rounds. Yesterday was the first time he had had to play the top seed ealry on.
