So why is the Womans Doubles not on second between the 2 finals to give Andy some rest like they do at Wimbledon.Is Andy expected rlto syay on court after the medal ceromomy?

I doubt it - I imagine (hope) they'll leave the medal ceremony until after the MD. Not sure how it's usually done mind but there's a fair few matches to play so it's not like they can spend too much time in-between matches with the ceremonies. |

Lose/lose. I wish both teams could get gold medals. I think it depends more on if Andy gets the gold against Roger. Then I'll be less inclined to care if he wins the mixed doubles. |

Fair point.
Although I'm sure Mirnyi can satisfy himself somewhat with all those slams. The Belorussians are surely favourites though.

I think it all comes down to Laura. She did have many mistakes off her racquet. I'm not just talking about UFEs but hitting balls that basically gave the Germany the position to hit winners. If she can't hold it together, I don't think Murray can play for her. I hope he isn't too tired if he has to play a rough five-setter just a few moments before the mixed doubles start.
I have to agree with other people when I say I don't understand why women's doubles couldn't have provided Andy with a break.

Are you kidding me? "Settle for a silver"! I'm so happy he gets a guarantee of a medal, not once but TWICE. Yes, it'd be great to get the gold but realistically speaking he's not going to unless Fed is injured or something. So I'm chuffed to bits he'll get at least two silvers. AWESOME!

Just checking in before going to bed.
Predicting a win for Andy & Laura, and basing this on the fact theirs are the only mixed dubs matches I've watched, ever, and they are excelling so far.
Their participation and success in this event has given me a new appreciation and interest in mixed dubs.
Understand your conflict tg. I get slightly conflicted when I watch a Murray/Raonic match.. but easier for me because I've followed Andy since way back when, and I'm 100% Scottish with just a shot of Canadian on the side.
