26 winners to Andy 6 for Nieminen. Great match Andy. Love how the crowd were right behind him.

Nice match for Andy. Still had 20 errors some of which I thought could have been avoided. Baggy is next. That one should be a bit more work than the first two.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

Well that one really was a stroll. Lloyd called it a practice session. Should finally shut up all those idiots who suggested Andy had to fake injury to beat Nieminen at RG - though probably nothing will shut them up. Some wonderful play from Andy with just a few minor lapses when I guess he was finding it just too easy. He looks so assured and in control - wonderful to behold. And great to hear the crowd getting behind him. And now Baggy who I like but unless it's played early I'll miss it as off to visit a friend in Yorkshire and I don't think she'd understand if I cried off for Andy

Missed the whole match (unlike me) but I recorded it There's more to life than watching tennis. Why watch it... when you can play it!! haha. I Made a sacrifice and stayed behind at the club to watch my brother play.. then I played some more tennis lol. I guess Andy played amazing?!

Yes he did jk but then jn played poorly - I think he was still in a state of shock after RG. Breaking news: Andy and Laura playing for GB in the mixed dubs

I think Andy got a bit too casual and therefore sloppy because he wasn't getting much opposition, something which is quite easy to do. However he needs to try and cut that out. Weak opponents can and do sometimes spring into life. Yes he did jk but then jn played poorly - I think he was still in a state of shock after RG. So it is true then. I expect Andy decided to play after going out in the men's doubles. Would prefer it if he saved his energy for the singles because it's going to be tough from now on and Baggy can be a very tricky player.
