Brilliant, especially that last pic.  Andy looks so happy and contented.  No wonder, he must have felt like a ton weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

Love his facial profile.  Certainly not one of a weak man.

Lovely roses though. What does he do with the flowers? Does he look at them later? If not, he can always send them over to my address. Smile

Or mine, and I deserve them because I'm ill! I love roses and I have no one to buy them for me. Buying your own isn't the same lol.

Agreed, they're so pretty! On Kim's blog she said she couldn't bring herself to throw away the Olympic bouquet-so I'd guess some are kept and then got rid of later?Dunno if he'd go to the bother of doing that with the long journey home in this case though, lol! They'd probably be fit for nothing afterward anyway. And I'm with you guys-I'm always available to be properly appreciative of a pretty flower delivery!

She could have dried them and arranged them in a vase or bowl, or pressed some of them into a scrapbook.  Given how artistic she is I'm sure she would have been able to do it.

That was completely unexpected form Nole....generally he shrugs his shoulders and smiles which I think is cute..

I don't think you've been watching him for very long zarfeen.  He's been keeping his emotions under check better the last year or so but prior to that he could be terrible on court.  And I think playing against Andy probably makes his frustration boil over.  I suspect many more racquets ae going to be sacrificed to this rivalry -on both sides.

That's nice to hear. Smile  What a lovely memento.

Brilliant!  Mind you the best I ever saw from Djokovic was in the final of last year's USO when, instead of smashing his racquet, he just stood with it on the baseline and, with the handle in his hand, ground it onto the court until the head was completely squashed.  And yes, he did get a code violation.  Also if players damage the court surface with their racquet antics they have to pay for repairs, although the cost will be a flea-bite to them.

I suspect many more racquets are going to be sacrificed to this rivalry -on both sides.
It'll keep the manufacturers in employment. Very Happy

Actually I don't remember Andy as being a racquet smasher but I'd much prefer he did this than what he used to do, i.e. hit himself on the knuckles until he drew blood.

Oh come now. I was ill before you so I deserve it more. ha ha

Anyway, I do buy my own but that's only because I love flowers a great deal and on big occasions, I love to decorate my apartment with flowers.
