Agreed bbh. I actually like the rest of it now. Didn't to start with but I think the yellow shorts were to blame.

In the week before a tournament Andy always wears the shoes (more than one pair I assume) he has to wear during the tournament. These are the yellow/black ones so I think he will certainly wear something yellow. But you are sure about this outfit John?
Last year his outfit from the WTF were not the same as the AO.
The yellow shorts are not on sale (scrol down:
http://www.tennisonly.com/
) must
have been a mistake !!!

I was
when I first saw the yellow outfit, but I've grown to like it more now. I think it works better in a sunny, outdoor court in Australia than on the indoor WTF one too.

Same here - though I think it makes a big difference with the yellow shorts not being part of the outfit! Yellow definitely seems to be the in-colour this Australian Open - Andy's very much on-trend there.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Practice session with Lendl...
Oh dear - what a picture of dejection. Mr L sure does put Andy through the hoops.

Lendl cracks me up lol
he has the same expression on his face constantly.
Perhaps he was born that way ...

I agree and I've grown to like the outfit he wore in Brisbane - but no more yellow please!
Also I got really confused in that final because Dimitrov was wearing the same colours, although his yellow was a bit more lime in colour - and their hair is very similar too. Had to keep looking at their ankles to see who was who.

I first saw the black/yellow outfit from a seat high up at the O2 when Andy played Berdych. I couldn't work out what was going on with the top - it almost looked sleeveless, with some tattoos or lacy stuff on the arms. Together with the black shoes and ankle braces, which looked more like boots, I thought he's have fitted in well at one of my son's rock gigs in Camden!
Once I saw it closer up on screen it made more sense, and I quite like it now. The yellow shorts and white top were awful though.
He did wear some flourescent orange shorts at the O2 the previous year (his match against Ferrer), which seemed to get toned down a bit for the AO, where I also grew to like his Noddy outfit.

That's funny.
I too noticed his shorts had been toned down for the AO, and I really liked his kit.
I hope something similar happens with the yellow shorts.

I must admit I wondered if Andy had stubbed a toe on the clock there. Hope not!
