MP interesting article from D Tel.  RE Andy's feets I imagine the courts are baking so not surprising if feet hurt. Also it's possible Andy's toenails haven't fully grown back yet after USO as I know it can take months.  I'm sure he'll be doing everything possible to protect his feet.

I think I've seen Andy's toes taped before. I don't lke to tempt fate by mentioning it really, but when he turned his ankle playing the German Berrer at the French a couple of years back, he was having treatment and I'm sure his toes were taped then. It could very well be a precautionary thing.

In the heat the feet are bound to take some stick, but that applies to all the players. The courts must get wickedly hot.

In general with the heat, firstly I'm glad Andy spent the time in Miami to prepare. Also, I'm led to believe that the heat in Australia is dry, not the oppressive humid heat that the players experience in New York. Still, 40 degree plus is still bloomin' hot!

I lived in Oz for 6 yrs.....the further north you go the more humid....the further south you go the drier the heat. Adelaide and Melbourne is essentially dry heat.....Sydney sometimes dry sometimes humid....Brisbane and further north Always humid.

I got it from the LES online, but I know from experience that what appears online isn't always the same as that which appears in the newspaper.

Probably it's to prevent friction.  Anyway Andy looks totally unconcerned, so nothing to get excited about.

I am very glad though to see that our boy is finally wearing a cap.  He should not have his head uncovered in that sun.

I saw a few minutes on Sport Scotland last night of Andy practising and I swear the heat was coming through the TV!
