Depends on your view. If you are speaking strictly from a Western culture point of view, then you’d be somewhat right but the same view does not apply to the world as a whole. All the other religions (Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Orthodox Jewish, Sikh etc.), apart from Christians, non-religions and Atheists, make up about 50% of the world populations and in those religions, men have specific domination over women. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan which is actually a part of the 3rd world countries and I had the privilege to visit some of the rural areas in the world when I was a young girl, so I’d say I have some first-hand knowledge about that. On top of that, I come from a Muslim background. In some countries in the Middle East, women aren’t even allowed to walk on the street without a male companionship and they have to wear burqas at all times. And Muslims take about 23% of the world populations alone.
