What a page of pics: the contrast between what he had to put into winning that match and the relaxation by the sea.
Sabine I think poor David was doing his best to hold back the tears because he knows he could have won had it not been for that misjudged line call.  It was good to hear Andy being so respectful of him in is post-match speech, as he always is.

could've fluffed return in the net though, was a tricky shot to return.

I really do believe that Ferrer was fighting back tears, which isn't surprising.  It was a very hard loss to swallow, and Andy was so gracious in his praise in his acceptance speech.


Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful pics.  Nice to see Andy had the strength to go down to the beach and have a swim whilst his fans were still exhausted quivering jellies!

I thought the exact same thing.  He did have his head in his hands when he sat in his chair after the match. He also wiped his eyes at one point. It would have been a very tough loss.
