Thanks for the pics, Dani, and for putting my mind at rest re. Kim and Judy (it was all Angie's fault whip)

Such a different homecoming scene at the airport this year, compared to last.

Glad they're both home quickly. Best place for them to be right now, with the doggies.

No problem Linda Smile

Thought the same thing you did re the homecoming scene, and couldn't agree more about the best thing for them to do is just be home.I know Andy will have to leave for Croatia soon, but before that I hope he gets in some solid at-home time with Kim,Maggie and Rusty. It's whats picked him up time and again in the past-hopefully will be just the ticket now too.

They have to give the code violation over the mic.

I think he did Prod. To be honest I couldn't make the umpire out during the match. There was a lot of echo on the mic, but I'm pretty sure he did give Andy a code violation. It didn't bother me. Andy was frustrated, it was understandable.

Good to see Andy and Kim back. I'm glad he's not hanging around in New York. If he can have some time at home with Kim before Croatia, it will do him good. Good to see him holding his head up too. That's a good sign.

Yeah, it was over the microphone I could hear it, but with the hustle and bustle going on, it wasn't very clear on the tv.

Just opened my recording, you're right, he got one.

Rules are rules I guess. People complain that top players get let off by the umpires too much, so in a way I am glad Andy got the warning.

Yes, this year Andy remembered to push the trolly when the paps were around! lol

Regarding violations, Djokovic got one for coaching last night (you don't see that very often), and Stan managed a spectacular racquet smash, which I presume cost him a violation, due to the way so many people on twitter stuck up for him.  He also managed to swear during his post-match interview, but presumably they couldn't do him for that.  Just pointless apologising by tv people. Wasn't Stan coded twice for the racquet smash? I wasn't in the room when it happened, but I thought I heard the comms say he was warned, then had a point penalty.

Ah, the old coaching thing. You don't see that one much. I don't mind that rule, because it seems fair, but all that warning for racquet abuse, language etc, seems a bit silly sometimes.

I didn't hear Stan's interview. Maybe he got carried away.

He was warned because he smashed a ball into the air, apparently it landed outside the stadium and that constitutes a warning, weird I know. Then he smashed his racquet and got the point penalty for two warnings.

I wonder if Andy is laughing at Becker's handbag or the badly fitting suit.

Ah, that's clear. I missed what it was all for, just heard the comms talking about a warning then a penalty.

I think that's a really stupid rule. Shows they care deeply about winning. Only person they're hurting is themselves...probably not advisable on grass though... Whistle
Now if Stan had hopped over the net and smashed Nole's racquet....
