Oh.. sorry about that Fiverings. Didgeridoos always reminds me of Two Little Boys Had Two Little Toys.
Yek..

You've been there?!
Would love to go visit my cousins but sooo far away.
I have - twice. Everybody should go there at least once if they can. It's the most incredible country on earth. The aboriginal culture was thriving when Europe and North America was a mile deep in ice. If that doesn't blow your mind, nothing will.

So why are you living in Ayrshire?

Is it better than the land down under?

I hadn't intended to extend this conversation, but since you ask, if I'd wanted to live there I should have gone thirty years ago.  You need to have substantial private means, or a key job or skill to become an Australian citizen now. And I'm actually currently living in my native city of Edinburgh due to family commitments, although my home is still in Ayrshire. Edinburgh's not bad either, by the way!!

Oh.. sorry Fiverings. I guess I came across wrong.
Was really genuinely asking because I emigrated to a country I visited and loved. That's all.
One of the reasons I did it was because I didn't want to look back in 20 years time and wonder "what if..?"
And Edinburgh is a jewel in the crown that is Scotland. Smile

No need to share personal info unless you want to. Just making conversation.

I do miss my Granite City.

Also.. Marischal College is no more. It's all at King's now.

I lived in OZ for 7 yrs... Adelaide and Sydney... visited all but Perth. im pretty mixed on Oz. I liked it for a while because it was something different...but then missed europe and moved back there..simply got bored of Oz. Its a great place to visit by all accounts but live?.. neah not for me thanks... i prefer Uk Europe and USA . As for Aboriginal culture..yeah in its purity it is a beautiful thing ..however the majority of white Aussies treat them like dog **** and generally look down on them. Come around a sporting event and suddenly they are part of their culture...********.   Whatever floats the boat tho...everyone's different Smile
