Is it true that Fed pulled out of Shanghai? That would increase Andy's chances of the of being no 3. at the end of the season.

Certainly would seem so - he is citing tiredness and niggling injuries.

Fed has pulled out of Shanghai. Andy's chances of reaching world 3 will be enhanced if he performs well in Thailand and Shangahi.

He is playing at Bangkok as a warm up match for Shanghai, as he said in these 250 tournaments you don't have to kill yourself against the top players. If he didn't have this warm up match, I'm sure he would get stick if he went straight to Shanghai as the defending Champion, looked what happened in Canada. He can't do right from doing wrong can he? So you needn't be so cynical.

I don't thinking it's anything to do with money - ranking points perhaps but not money.

^^After watching Andy for hours, days, weeks, months, years, and abusing my liver by drinking gallons of wine(red)..and all the mental torture that entails, I,ve earned the right to be cynical when the mood takes me.

ha ha robbie, v, funny but SO SO true. Not fussed myself which colour the wine is or even resorting to chamomile tea at times!! but have been there from the beginning and remember v.clearly the pacing , watching live score because I couldn't bear to watch live etc. etc. I was lucky enough to be at wimbledon for the Nalbandian/Murray match many moons ago and was hooked from that moment on. Will be a fan for many years no matter what happens and I salute all you true fans who will also support until the GS.........it's gonna come!
