Now here's a guy who hasn't played our Andy in a LONG time.
New and improved Soderling is the type of mercurial ballbasher who can cause Andy problems, even on a hardcourt.
Andy will need to do a lot of running, unless he drastically alters his gameplan, but I don't see it happening. Andy in 3.

A poll! Excellent stuff. Just need the head to head bit Sorry Andrew, I'm very demanding at the moment (I don't know how to incorporate it into a post like other do) So, Friday night is Saturday morning for me - best be on the bloody telly is all I can say

I voted 3 sets, not necessarily because soldering is a big threat to andy's game (although he could well be of course) but more because i can see a lapse in concertration from andy and soldering, unlike al last night, will take full advantage of that.

Andy does keep having the odd vulcan mind melt but he needs to remain focused - which tournie was it last year that Andy was like this and ended up winning the damn thing? Oh, I voted 3 too.

You know, I don't remember that at all. Thanks for the Montreal part - that one I remember (apart from the venue )

i thought if he remain focus and up his level like he did today, he could win the match. however, it's going to be tense i believe.

In Austrailia Andy looked so-so until he faced a decent player in Isner, then obv that Nadal match was just......... I think he'll raise his game because he needs to, he hasn't looked great but he hasn't looked bad either I think theres plenty left in the locker and I think he'll beat Soderling in 2 tight sets. something ike 7/6 7/5.

Let's Go!!!

By the time I got up and turned on the computer it was all over with Almagro so I'm looking forward to watching the replay just to see Andy play decent tennis! Perhaps Sky will schedule his quarter final match - even if it is 2 30a.m. like the Nadal/Berdych match tonight.
