Queens QF: Andy MURRAY vs. Benjamin BECKER

Quote

After a 2 and 2 destruction of Marinko Matosevic, Andy Murray is to face German veteran Benjamin Becker, who has had a fabulous run this week, with wins over Lukas Rosol and Alexandr Dolgopolov. This match will be played tomorrow.

This could also been an avenging win (if he does win this match). Becker was the one that took Andy's idol, Andre Agassi into retirement back in 2006.

Becker was about Andy's age when he did that.  Agassi was on the point of retiring anyway due to ongoing painful back problems, so I don't see why Andy would want to avenge that.

Weather forecast cloudy and windy, but rain isn't predicted.

I am so into Wimbledon that I am not feeling Queens at all.

Becker is as common a name as Baker (the English equivalent). No relation to Boris Becker.

I never feel queens, it's too close to Wimbledon. Also it's only a 250 and missing a lot of players.

Andy looks okay both physically and mentally so he should be ready for Wimbledon.

I see Andy is the third match on centre court so I'm guessing I need to be up by 8 am here to watch the live update.

Good luck Andy against Becker.  Come with the confidence that you've been playing with this week.   Here's to no rain and great tennis from your racquet

Don't think I've ever seen BB - at least not since he took Agassi out, which was a long time ago.  If Andy continues to play like he has done the last couple of days, I have no fears for him.  He looked so poised and at ease on the grass, despite the very tricky conditions.  As I said on another thread watching him live has been like watching poetry in motion at times.  Go Andy Go.  cmon yeah

I'd be surprised if this match gave him any problems at all.

I don't mind Queen's, i like watching tennis on grass so it's all good, and Andy playing is the icing on the cake.
