I'll have to try some time, but getting someone to take me is tough. Queen's looks like it would be good to go to, what with the crowd being close to the players and such. I wonder what their disabled access is like.

I think the thing with watching TV is that you don't get that sense for how quick the top players are. Andy's movement and anticipation does look quick on TV, but I bet up close it's something else.
tj there were two areas for disabled people right next to the court next to the players' boxes (so you could be sitting next to Mr L and Kevin Spacey!)  I got the sense that disabled access is pretty good - you just have to tell them when you enter the ballot and/or book tickets when they open up for direct sales.

Oh wow, that's interesting, and good to know! I'd be better off not sitting next to Mr. L. He'd get annoyed because I'd have to ask him a lot of annoying questions lol.

I'll have to see if I can work on someone to take me. My brother is great for taking me to things, but he really isn't in to tennis. I'll have to give that one some thought, but thanks for the info Ruthie.

it would be great if you could tj.  Probably no point going before wednesday as that seems to be the day Andy usually plays his first match.  Let us know next year if you manage it.

Next year I am going to go, but this time I will prepare better. I will enter the ballot for Wednesday, as guaranteed Andy will play then.

This time I made a mistake of selecting split single tickets over two different days, so impossible I could take them with one day being Tuesday and the other being the Final.

I've noticed how Andy doesn't often play until Wednesday at Queen's. I thought it was my imagination, but it does seem to often be the case.

I'll definitely let you know. I'll really need to think about how I might get there, there's no way I could go on my own you see, but if I can find someone I'd love to go.

It depends on my health a bit as well. I'm waiting for a hospital appointment for my throat. Ten weeks now and still no sign of my voice coming back. I know what it is I think, but my doctor just wants to be sure. Also, once the specialist at the hospital has seen me I might need speech therapy again. The trouble is that the hospital doesn't seem to be rushing to see me. That probably wouldn't get in the way of next year, but knowing me I'll have gone down with laryngitis again by then. The problem is that the longer the hospital takes to give me an appointment, the longer it will take to get my voice back.

You do all realise that watching Wimbledon might just kill me? Best of five sets and I have no voice! Andy will just have to play well. I won't need to shout at him then Smile
