A chance to tape over the memory of Wimbledon 2009, when Andy M, with a then 6-2 H2H over Andy R, lost in 4 sets.  Queens is not a slam but it's a good place to start Very Happy

Play is due to start at 1.15 pm (BST) on Centre Court (no idea of the weather forecast) with the 2 Andy's match first, followed by Tsonga vs Ward.  Go Andy and Go James cmon yeah

Not sure it will be easy. Roddick loves playing on the grass and is much "fresher" than Andy, but hey cmon yeah

I'm sooooo glad Andy had the day off yesterday!

Andy's thoughts about that:-

Quote
"I would have rather played and got another match on the grass," he said. "[But] it wasn't to be. I just have to take this day as a rest day, which in some ways is probably a good thing."

I reckon Andy will do it today. I can understand him wanting another match on grass to ensure his transition from clay. He must have got som practise on grass with Danni. Advantages both ways I guess.

Im a bit nervous about this match 'cos Roddick is pretty good on grass, as we've seen before.

I'll stick to my guns and vote for Muzza in 3. I think thats realistic knowing his slow-off-the-block habits.
Nice if he can avoid that today though. cmon yeah cmon yeah

Yes our Andy in 3 but never underrate the other Andy on grass.  So it could go either way.  Like Bev I'm hoping our Andy will do something to avenge Wimbledon.  There used to be quite a bit of bad blood between them but that's all in the past and I seem to remember our Andy played a charity event for the other Andy a year or two ago.  Forecast on the radio this morning not that good - showers from about start of play onwards.  But you never know with showers so could be lucky.  Glad they're on first as makes it easier knowing when you're on (rain permitting).  cmonandy  Murray that is.

I've gone for our Andy in three as I think he may have his work cut out to beat Roddick, the way the American is playing at the moment. They are supposedly on court at 1.15 p.m. but oh! those rain delays!!

I hope Andy has sent James Ward a nice message of support and encouragement. It would mean the world to him.

Knowing Andy, I'd be surprised if he hadn't had a word with him!
