Queens SF: Murray vs Tsonga

Quote

Sat in front of a wonderful woman from the North, who had seen Andy at the USOpen. We were the only ones cheering loudly. At one point she turned round and loudly remarked that the rest of the crowd, "...must be dead."   lmao
At the end of the match we both started chanting, "easy, easy." Mucho raised eyebrows did we cause.... yay

I'm amazed you were not immediately escorted to the Tower of London and incarcerated.!!

I should get some housework done in the meantime. Looks like a long wait....hope Lleyton gets the win over Cilic, though I have a soft corner for Cilic as well and they have both played very well here so either win will be well deserved.

Er, I've just changed my mind about the likely winner of Hewitt vs Cilic,as is a womans priviledge.
I fancied Hewitt, but since they started playing, Cilic is looking very solid, despite having to stoop for the low balls.

MC is 2  - 0 up already.

It's raining again, what a hopeless summer weather we have. 15 min. play and so stopped.

Can you believe the Daily Mail! There was one of those comments on there this morning, someone having a go at Andy for beating 'nothing players' and then losing to the 'big guys' you know the sort of thing, in response to Andy's win over Benjamin Becker.

It was a silly woman who didn't have a clue what she was talking about. I put her straight and basically told her to grow up, and guess whose comment has been pulled from the site? Unbelievable, and just shows the Mail up for what it is.

Apparently celebs call it the Daily Wail. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know why.

Crowd in Wimbledon Final were not as bad as every one makes out.

watching the queens final from 2 years ago shows how it can be in Queens without all the hooray henrys.  I was lucky to be able to take the opportunity of a £10 ticket after it was rained off on Sunday and the atmosphere was great.  If it wasn't for the charity match I'd say it would be to Andy's advantage to have the final played on Monday (if he should get to it of course and although I voted Andy in 3 I'm not making any assumptions)

Agree. When the crowds at the Olympic Final were chanting Andy's name one of the comms said no-one gets that during the Championships, not even Roger Federer. Well, of course as so often happens he was making up facts as he went along, because the crowd were chanting his name and clapping during his heroic last two games against Federer in the final.

When Andy made that speech at Wimbledon, I couldn't help but look at what Lendl was doing. He looked as if he had some tricks up his sleeve. Maybe this year will be the year Lendl will put those tricks into full effect.
