To hell with the ranking - it'll come back easy enough when he gets his driving force back - I just want him to regain the ability to play like Andy Murray.

Ok, so next week we're looking at:
1 Federer 10690
2 Djokovic 7210-8030
3 Nadal 6160-6980
4 Del Potro 5725
5 Murray 5485
6 Davydenko 5335
7 Roddick 4780
8 Soderling 4595
Concerning points which will count towards seeding at Roland Garros, Andy is still 3rd, although there's obviously not much chance of staying ahead of Nadal for that. However, both Del Potro and Davydenko are within 150 points of him, so depending on their injury status, he could be in for a good tussle for that top 4 seeding.

Coming up to Rome, here are the possibilities for Andy's ranking after the tournament:
Federer and Djokovic are, of course, out of reach.
Andy will overtake Nadal if he does better then him in Rome (even if Andy loses his first match, and Nadal just pulls out).
Andy will overtake Del Potro if he earns 70 points more then him, which in most cases means reaching one round further.
Davydenko can overtake Andy if he earns 240 points more then Andy, which means he has to do one of the following:
1) reach the semis, without Andy reaching the quarters
2) reach the final without Andy reaching the semis
3) win the tournament
Roddick can overtake Andy by winning the tournament, as long as Andy doesn't reach the semis.
Soderling can overtake Andy by winning the tournament, as long as Andy doesn't win a match.

I'd say, in my opinions of course, the only thing I'd bet my house on is that Roddick has about as much chance of winning the Rome tournament as Andy winning the FO... Actually, I think Andy winning the FO is probably a safer bet.
Do we know for sure that Delpo is playing Rome?

I don't think either he or Davydenko have withdrawn yet, which means they still both believe they have a chance of playing, however unlikely.

Roddick, Davydenko and Del Potro have all been reported now as having withdrawn, so fingers crossed Andy goes deep and puts a little bit of distance between them.

I thought I'd read somewhere that he might have to have an operation on his wrist.

Just to update the possibilities after the end of Barcelona, and taking into account withdrawals:
Andy will overtake Del Potro by winning a single match.
Andy will overtake Nadal if he gets further then him (if they both reach the same round, Nadal stays ahead).
Soderling will overtake Andy if he wins Rome, and Andy does not reach the semis.
So it's possibile for him to end up ranked anywhere between 3 and 6 for next Monday.
