Just to update the possibilities after the end of Barcelona, and taking into account withdrawals:
Andy will overtake Del Potro by winning a single match.
Andy will overtake Nadal if he gets further then him (if they both reach the same round, Nadal stays ahead).
Soderling will overtake Andy if he wins Rome, and Andy does not reach the semis.
So it's possibile for him to end up ranked anywhere between 3 and 6 for next Monday.
He better win his match, just one match to overtake someone?! He's gotta take advantage of that. Overtaking nadal is out the question, murray surely can't go further then he can, unless theres a major upset. I don't fancy soderling chances of winning the thing so... It's all up to andy now, he just needs to win this first match and he'll be in a good position. |
