I mean, we hope he defends his Miami crown and go a step further in IW.
We hope, indeed. I think it's unlikely that he'll match the W and F again. Maybe a W and SF, or a F and a SF. Hopefully he'll prove us wrong and get W W! It's also very unlikely that he'll win the FO. Favourites for that tournament are The Pony, The Pig, The Frauderer and The Faker.

From the same article - does not fill me with confidence: 'There is obviously stuff that I can work on but there is not loads that can get better about my game,' Murray said. 'I will keep working on my serve and physically I can still get better. Against Roger I missed a few volleys that I should not have done.'

I would say the key difference was the serve. If Andy can improve to a similar 66% as Roger, he would have won at least a set and then anything could have happened such as Roger getting tired and lose another set. Once we are into the 5th set then anyone can win.

Agreed, the serve was the biggest letdown. Easy service games make it much easier to apply pressure on your opponents serve. It's quite disappointing just how much Andy's first serve has regressed. His second is becoming quite a weapon though...

Andy's withdrawal from Marseille means he'll be 4th for at least two weeks.

Thanks Yamor. Fortunately there is no difference in GS draw between 3rd and 4th. Also Del Potro who is fifth, and Nadal (3rd) are out injured for 1 month+ so all in all, no real harm is done.

I believe Andy regains no 3 if he reaches the SF of Dubai. If he wins and Joka goes out 1st round he will be just 100pts of 2nd. Murray still has a spare 500 point and 250 point tornament while Djoko has little oportunities for advancment. so I would expect Andy to get back to no 2 resonably soon.

Nadal should get rid of his zero-pointer soon.

Yes, that's when it should come off, but you can get it removed if you show you are injured and don't play for 4 weeks. That means Nadal should get it removed after Dubai.

Yes, but he'll have to do well in Miami to keep it for more then a couple of weeks.
