Well as a professional surgeon who has performed dozens of back operations I can tell you the it would be impossible for someone with a serious back injury to win Wimbledon.

Just because you play a lot of Operation the board game, doesn't make you a professional surgeon mate.

Wannabe surgeon/Operation addict by day.

Internet troll by night. Interesting career.

Haha! Had a quick look at your first posts!

Anyone heard anything? The last I heard he's getting an MRI tomorrow (Monday).

Andy himself says it could be a bit of bone that's jiggling about inside his arm. Hopefully that's something that can be fixed with a simple operation but I want to stress Im not a medical man. No no.

Does anyone have experience of something like this. Whats the prognosis.

Aileen have you tried wax baths.
No I haven't Tessie.  Maybe I should but I don't know to go about it and my GP isn't the most helpful person on the planet when it comes to that sort of thing.   I have though been wearing a magnetic bracelet for the past four years, and I'm sure it has gone some way to easing the pain to the manageable level it's at now, i.e. that I've reached the stage where it's sort of become part of me, if that makes sense, so most of the time it's in the background.

Re the bracelet, there is strong evidence to suggest that magnets can help the pain of osteoarthritis, although not cure it, because they improve the flow of blood round the body, but I'm quite prepared for scepticism and being told it's all in the mind.  I was very sceptical myself but after about three months realised that the pain was starting to ease a little.   However I do accept that what benefits one person doesn't mean that it'll automatically benefit somebody else.

Of course I'm serious.  There's nothing I don't know about backs. No No.

 Eyebrow raise.

Ok.. here's your first question:

Is it safe to perform a lumbar puncture at the site of a herniated disc?

Aileen.....I don't have osteoathritis, but I do have pain in my fingers now and then and when I do, I take Glucosamine tabs and the pain goes within a few days! It's the best thing for athritis and not expensive!

You don't 'know' what Andy had done....None of us do, yet you propose to know it wasn't serious? Have you ever had back surgery yourself? Did you operate on Andy?
'tis best we leave this MW member to his fantasy world, Caz.

Yes an aunt of mine swore by it, but I've checked it out and it isn't suitable for diabetics, unfortunately.
